Halloween in the High Country

Here are a few photos I took on Halloween of 2013. This photo was taken after the “peak leaf season” but there were still a few trees adjacent Grandfather Mountain that were incredibly brilliant. I think this photo is a great depiction of mood of the High Country this time of year. I love the orange glow of the leaves with Grandfather Mountain in the background, immersed in the late October clouds.

PS. Notice the hawk swirling high above in the first picture.

Gorgeous Fall Colors in Echota on the Ridge

What a treat it was to be in Echota on the Ridge this morning!  Although breathtakingly beautiful, it was a bitter sweet day in Echota on the Ridge for me.  Paul (recent POA president – Echota on the Ridge) is moving out of Echota and heading south to Florida.  Paul trusted Boone Real Estate to get the job done and we sold it for full asking price!  Although we’re sad to see Paul go, he’s now on the way to Florida to be closer with his family.  No matter what life throws at you, Boone Real Estate is always here to tackle the task at hand.

Whether you’re planning to get spooked on Tweetsie Railroad’s “Ghost-train” or just browsing the shoppes in Blowing Rock, it’s sure to be a beautiful weekend!
