My goodness but it has been a protracted end of winter in the mountains this year and aren’t we glad to see the onset of spring! Here is the herald of spring, my favorite early flower – the forsythia. We’ve caught this one a bit ahead of peak but we thought you’d want to see how it looks precisely on April 11th. In another few days with the sun gleaming on its bright little petals it is perhaps the most glorious flower on the planet. And it is especially welcome at the end of a long winter. Whenever I see its beautiful flowers I am filled with the halcyon hope of wonderful weather to come, that life is good and all is well on Earth. We will try to keep you abreast of all the bloomings ahead this season. Next we should have for you the Bradford Pears, Azaleas and Dogwoods. Keep visiting and enjoy the blossoming of spring right here on these pages!
