Here is one of the most sublime and transporting views I’ve sold in fifteen years practicing real estate in Boone! Just seven convenient miles south of town in a Blowing Rock subdivision named Misty Mountain you’ll find these exquisite views of the gorge below town. They say on a clear winter’s night you can see the skyline of downtown Charlotte! Isn’t this a gorgeous vista! I must have done something somewhere right to be asked to assist clients acquire a home with this panorama! I’m thankful for the opportunity to earn my livelihood in such an inspiring environment and grateful to our clients who rely on us to protect them in the process and so enable us to continue our work up here every day! Tuesday was one of those surreal days we get while showing property. We were out looking at log cabins in the Boone/Valle Crucis area and then transitioned to rustic condos and townhomes. It started to snow when we left the office in the morning and it just kept coming down! BIG snowflakes floated down so elegantly and covered everything with such beauty. There was something pure about showing properties while it was snowing and being the only ones in sight. I haven’t had that much fun showing property in some time!

This is such a beautiful lot at the top of Laurel Ridge between Boone and Valle Crucis with heart-stopping views! The seller had been trying to sell it unsuccessfully by himself for some time. With the help of Boone Real Estate marketing we were able to quickly pair him with an interested buyer who closed on this gorgeous tract this week. We assisted the seller in efficiently obtaining a septic permit through our experience in preparing land tracts for sale and once this was obtained we were able to mail the seller a check for his land. If you have a home or tract of land you’d like to sell quickly and easily in the high country near Boone and Blowing Rock, Boone Real Estate may be the solution. Call or e-mail us and we’ll be happy to help!
Looking Back Over 2013 in the High Country
As we look back on 2013, Boone Real Estate had a fantastic year – thank you! We wouldn’t be in business if it wasn’t for you and we are forever grateful for our loyal clients. As Realtors, we know you have a choice for real estate services in the High Country and we sincerely appreciate your business. Thanks for making 2013 one to remember!
Being a Realtor in Boone and Blowing Rock, NC definitely has it perks. For one, we get to traverse the mountains over the course of a year and get to see some incredible scenery. We take pictures. Sometimes it’s almost as if you don’t have a choice to take a photo. We’re constantly on the run and day in/day out we’re outside in the elements. We catch the pretty sunsets, see the fog lifting off the valley floors, feel morning dew between our toes, the list could go on forever. One of my favorite things about this area is the four distinct seasons. The mountainous terrain is incredibly unique which in turn makes every piece of real estate one-of-a-kind. You’d be amazed how much different Blowing Rock is to Bethel or Boone is to Banner Elk. You could own a piece of property on top of a ridge with killer views or you could be down on the Watauga River in Valle Crucis. The choice is yours.
So now, without further ado, here is a glimpse into my life as a Realtor in High Country – year 2013. There are 12 months in a year and these are the 12 reasons you should buy a home in Boone, NC!

I’m truly thankful for living in such a beautiful area of the world. Boone features such amazing terrain and it’s a pleasure to live here. This photo was taken from Calloway Peak on Grandfather Mtn at over 5900 feet elevation. Such a great day to be outside!
